About me…..
I am old. The last baby born in our local hospital on January 1st, 1972.
I am a night owl, so don’t be surprised if most of my posts seem to get published between the hours of 11 PM and 2 AM. It is the only quite time I get all alone around here!!
I made my husband fall in love with me by kicking his ass at an old school arcade version of SoulCaliber. Don’t mess with me when I am in IVY mode man!!
The very last movie I ever saw at a drive-in movie theatre AND the very first DVD that I ever owned was “Dirty Dancing”. And “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” is the best damn movie line…..EVAH!!
I liked reading vampire books WAY before there was a Team Edward or a Team Jacob, and I was on Team Louis!!
I do NOT have a poker face of any kind, what you see is what you get.
I have known my hairdresser longer than I have known my husband and I would never, ever, EVER cheat on either one of them!
I have given birth vaginally to a 3.5 pound premature baby boy and an 8.2 pound overdue baby girl and trust me size does NOT matter in this regard!!
My favourite place on the planet might just be the beach outside of Mama’s Fish House in Paia, on the island of Maui, Hawaii.
I am a Capricorn. Which means I like both the mountains AND the ocean!
I love the smell and feel of my bed on clean sheets day, I MUST wear new clothes immediately, I am a sucker for anything with pomegranate in it and I love cuddling with my babies more than anything else in this world.
I am an advocate for women and children and the men that love them. For their right to make choices that are right for them, for the right to information and education about babywearing, breastfeeding, birthing and all things natural parenting.
Oh yeah, and I am a stay at home mom AND a feminist. Go figure…
I do hope you enjoy my writing.
