These pads are certified organic hemp fleece that is soft, absorbent and will mold to your contours. Hemp is durable, and super absorbent and will outlast most fabrics. We have found you will need at least 12 pads per cycle if you wash every other day.
Our pads are considered AIO, all in one, pads as they have a layer of darlexx on the inside of the holder. Darlexx is a high quality waterproof material that is very breathable. It is mainly manufactured for the medical community and can stand rigorous use and washing It is also hypoallergenic.
Why use cloth? The average cost of using disposable pads per year is over $85.00 a year for a five day cycle and that is provided you are not post partum or using light day pads for in between. Would you throw away $85.00 a year on products that just add to our landfills and contain harsh chemicals like bleach and asbestos? These chemicals are actually added to make you bleed more. Many people, when switching to cloth, actually bleed less and thus use less pads overall.
Each pad is sold with one insert included.
Note: Cloth pads are not just for menstruating women. Women with stress incontinence have found our pads work wonderfully as well.
A note about sizing:
Day pads are 9 inches long so perfect for lighter days and a great teen size.
The night pads are 10 inches long and really need to be renamed the All Around Pad as this is a great size for regular daily use.
Our 12 inch pads are great for overnight use, post-partum or moderate incontinence. The 9 and 10 inch pads are great for mild incontinence.
Cloth pads are best worn with form fitting underwear. When worn correctly, the pad lays in, you fold over the wings, snap. and it will stay put.
