Transitions trainers work best to catch an accident and contain the mess for a short while. If left on for an extended time after an accident the wetness will migrate to the side panels where there is no waterproof protection. You can use these at night, with a pull-on soaker type cover over them, if your child is not a heavy night wetter. The pull-on soaker will still allow your child to use the potty on their own.
